With the exceptions of the interrogator, Constantine, Scorpion, minor characters and all main characters who speaks with their original Australian accent, none of the characters consistently have the same accent throughout the film.
Samuel Beard (Ashmont) and Lucas Allan (Hollister) start off being American, but occasionally switch back and forth between their original Australian accents throughout the course of the film. Kyle Tompsett (Blackridge) manages to keep his accent in tact for most of the film, but on rare occasions accidentally slips into his Australian accent. His, along with
Timothy David Mitchell 's (Barry), are not as noticeable. Mitchell's accent changes only slightly during the first battle scene, where he adopts an African-America accent as opposed to his character's Tennessee accent. Also (usually during shouting lines or long monologues), close analysis to Mitchell's accent determines that he accidentally drops the Tennessee dialect and uses a normal American accent at times. Whilst Emily Smith is an experienced and award-winning stage actress who had no flaws with her accent whilst filming on set (even to the point of speaking in her character's accent off camera as well as on, as well as during theatre group and class time), her first phone call to Blackridge is done in her normal Australian accent. (There were plans to re-record her lines, but this never happened.)
