Most of the cameos from the door scenes were alternatives takes from Juan Pérez's fake trailer A Zombie's Life (2009).
The series was going to be released on September 2010, with a different actor playing Bertucho. By that time, the first episode was complete and some scenes of the others were made. But the actor who played Bertucho and David Díaz had many schedule conflicts and David thought that he will not released on time. So finally David decided to change the actor and the part went to Carlos Movilla who was going to play the part of "Ruso" before the change. Many scenes had to be re-shoot and the series was delayed until July 2011.
Héctor Montoya suggested Ana Smithee for the role of Paula. After one reeding of the script David Díaz cast her.
