- Trivia"The Chosen One", is a homage to "The Picture of Dorian Gray" written by Oscar Wilde. Federica Alice Carlino was able to pay her respect to the well known playwright by creating a film which truly mimics his art style. By choosing to use a black and white filter with sepia coloring, the vibe of the film promoted a clear look back at the past of cinema productions. The film upon first glimpse may seem pessimistic, but the truth is it does justice to the original script and the writer's vision, respecting all the main aspects while also adding authentic character. Containing some unexpected twists, the beautifully narrated creation is fast and to the point making it pleasant to watch. The only downside of the short were some discursive shots that garbled with the initial aim of the film.

- Quotes
Oscar Wilde: The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself, with desire for what its monstrous laws have made monstrous and unlawful. Courage has gone out of our race. Perhaps we never really had it. The terror of society, which is the basis of morals, the terror of God, which is the secret of religion,--these are the two things that govern us. Ordinary people waited till life disclosed to them its secrets, but to the few, to the elect, the mysteries of life were revealed before the veil was drawn away.
