Originally filmed in 1986 as a spiritual-faith made-for-TV movie, it never got a release or air date until 2023 in which contemporary scenes involving Tara Reid were filmed as a wrap-around-story to the plot.
The bulk of the film was shot in 1986 in Mammoth Lakes, California. The contemporary scenes were filmed in 2022.
