Most of the actors did a decent job; the female lead was quite good. The storyline was ok. What distracted me most was the production quality: the sets and the wardrobe. What did they do, use their cousins' apartments and bring their own clothes? Really, that final scene was not the kitchen of a single woman. Or a young couple. Were we not supposed to notice the boss's office was just the other side of the room from Andrea and Miriam's office? Things like that took away from what could have been a pretty good movie. When you're low on budget, you have to work a little harder to get creative. But good try. 👍🏼

The shoddy editing, the overacting, and the confusing plot are just one of the few things you should be expecting when you watch this movie. I literally laughed out loud when the "billionaire" boss of the mysterious company with the dirty cramped office was having a conversation with his driver-cum-bodyguard. The driver rambled on and on and at one point he spoke in gibberish. I can't even begin to explain how unintentionally hilarious this movie is without giving away "spoilers" about how "evil" the female protaganist is.
What kind of misogynistic hell is this? The main character's fiance doesn't have a job, so what does she do? She literally gives him her entire paycheck because he's "The King" and gets to do whatever he likes with the money. Why is the movie named after him anyway?
By the way, someone's phone literally rings in the middle of the shoot and they didn't edit it out.

I did not expect for her secret past to be what it was. Normally not a fan of drama/romance films but I did enjoy this one.

There is nothing like a good Black Love Story. This movie rocks and delivers. Kenya Cagle directs a stellar cast who give excellent performances about a couple in love and engaged. Everything is going well until their wicked mother in law start to get involved in their business. I found it to be charming and emotional. I believe that what the world needs now are love stories like these. Mark my words, Kenya Cagle will be a house hold name. His brand of films are not only entertaining but educational. I highly recommend this movie and look forward to their next production.

Black love stories are absolutely needed at this time. This is the story of a woman who finds herself in love with the perfect man. They become engaged. The only problem is that he has a meddling mother. Christopher Clayton and Danea Ossini look like the perfect couple. They give great acting performances. The piece is well written with good music.
