On Friday, 16 September 2022, ITV2 announced that they have commissioned Avalon Television to produce a 6-episode second series of the sitcom for 2023. The first series began with an initial audience of just under half a million viewers consolidated over a month, but this dropped to fewer than 250,000 by the end of the first series. Series one also garnered some very mixed reviews from the critics.
A proposed third series of the sitcom will now not happen. It had been reported in May 2023 that work was underway on a third series. However, in December 2023 Iain Stirling's management company, Avalon, announced that the ITV2 comedy would not be returning "as availability wise it was hard to fit filming in with Iain's busy schedule, particularly with the expanded series of Love Island in the USA."
