Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has promised that the show's new-look panel will no longer be taken in by contestants' 'sob stories'. The Big Top actress, who is joined by David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre on the forthcoming fifth series, claimed that she attempted to avoid being swayed by those who "milked" personal tragedies to improve their chances of success. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Holden admitted that her change of attitude had been partially motivated by her own devastating stillbirth during filming of the contest in February. "We saw in the auditions that people were telling you their tragedy before they even started singing. They were milking it, doing the "My mother died last week and this is for her" (more)...

Stevie Starr came with a health warning from Ant & Dec on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent semi final, with presenter Declan Donnelly telling people not to try this at home.
Stevie started by swallowing a whole light bulb…..a few stomach wobbles later and the thing came back up whole! He then asked Amanda for her engagement ring…she was Not amused…we guess that she didn’t expect this because she looked genuinely shocked and she’s just not that good an actress (did you see Big Top?)
Amanda then watched as Stevie put the ring, a padlock and a key into his tummy while he attempted to open the lock with his key, insert the ring and then lock the padlock Before bringing it back up. He did it…..but was it real? Can someone really do that? It didn’t even appear to be covered in bile or salvia or anything…...

Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Mark James has revealed that he perfected his singing act while performing on-board a ferry service.
On Saturday night’s show, ferry entertainment manager Mark appeared on stage wearing a home-made costume that he and his Mum made. He sang the old Rene and Renatta song ‘Save My Love’, doing the old half-girl, half-guy costume. Amanda Holden thought Mark was hilarious but then she thought Big Top was a great idea for a show. However Simon Cowell wasn’t impressed, telling Mark: “You are arguably one of the worst acts we have seen this year.” (Video Here)
On how he came up with the act Mark told The Sun:
“I have been practising on the ship. I did the act a couple of times for the passengers to try it out.
“People were really surprised because they didn’t expect it.
“But my workmates know I am the funny man!

We quite liked Mark James‘ act on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent but Simon Cowell just wasn’t convinced.
Wearing a home-made costume that he and his Mum made, ferry entertainments manager Mark sang the old Rene and Renatta song ‘Save My Love’, doing the old half-girl, half-guy costume. We groaned at the start but when Renatta kicked into the track, it wasn’t half bad……mildly amusing at least.
Amanda Holden thought Mark was hilarious but then she thought Big Top was a great idea for a show. Simon hated him, but knew that no matter what he said, Piers and Amanda were voting this guy through……of course that is exactly what happened! Did you love Mark tonight? Leave your comments below.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has admitted that the show can’t hope to find another Susan Boyle in upcoming series’.
Speaking at the launch of her friend Gina Hemmings’s new beauty salon, the Big Top actress said:
“I think with Susan Boyle you have to realise it will never be repeated in history again – not for the next 20 years anyway,” she told the Daily Mail.
“You have to keep that as a moment of history and then just get on with the rest of the show and not look back. But everyone obviously has higher expectations because of her.
“People now know that it’s not just about winning £100,000 and being on the Royal Variety show, it’s about potentially going global. It has changed the whole idea of the show.”

Amanda Holden has admitted that while she used to detest her fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, she has went on to develop a deep affection for the former newspaper editor.
Speaking to Take It Easy she said: “I didn’t want to breathe the same air as him three years ago, but now we are firm friends. I can basically say anything to him and he can say anything to me and we know we are not going to offend each other. He’s actually become a bit of a rock.”
Holden also described Simon Cowell as “wonderful” with a “dry sense of humour”.
She added: “When I showed him a picture of myself as a clown in [television show] Big Top he said, ‘Amanda, you look wonderful – you were clearly born to be a clown’. And I remind him that he’s older than me and is now eligible for Saga holidays.
