Mickey Vermeer and Charlotte Ha are the first actresses in the movie and television series to not be of Dutch origin. It is thus to be assumed that not both of these actors might have grown up watching the television series of De Club van Sinterklaas while it has become a regular habit to hire Dutch actors that were in the age of the target audience when the original television series was aired on TV.
