"Stella" is one of the funniest and most random collection of television programs, shorts and comedy acts, and David Wain makes up a third of these comedy routines. When Michael and Michael went off to do "Michael and Michael Have Issues", I assumed we would enjoy another helping of Stella style humor, but it didn't quite have the same sense of humor. Luckily David Wain has proved to keep alive the humorous stylings of Stella on his own with these ridiculously goofy 5 minute shorts.
This internet series follows the life of David Wain as he meets and dates different women in every episode. Ridiculousness ensues in every episode, very little makes sense, and Stella like humor invades every scene.
If you like random humor, this is the internet series for you. it never makes very much sense, some things that happen are obviously fake, and lines of dialogue are purposely cheesy and nonsensical. Some of those aspects of the show might be too dumb for people, but for those who can appreciate the humor, this is hilarious. It's so dumb, just like Stella, and nonstop laughs if you can appreciate it. Occasionally, it gets a little too stupid and nonsensical that it feels like the writer(s) are simply relying on being random, but that rarely happens.
Overall, this is one of the funniest internet series I've seen. It's proof that David Wain was and is a pivotal member of Stella, and is just as important as a member of the group and as a writer, because this guy writes some silly and hilarious material.
My rating: *** 1/2 out of ****. 5 mins.

Just as with "Stella", "Wainy Days" isn't for everybody. If you are looking for smart comedy then then look elsewhere. The jokes, plots, acting, and characters are utterly retarded at times. Simply put, it's just a very stupid comedy series, with over-exaggerated lines, random weird moments, and outlandish plot arches, but it's funny as hell. Especially the random moments where David knocks people down in the street while walking and giving a monologue. Basically, if you are a fan of goofy, off the wall comedy then you'll probably get a kick out of "Wainy Days".
Sure it's not high quality production but if you're just looking to place your brain to the side and laugh at dumb stuff then give it a look.
I don't know why it is exactly that Michael, Michael, and David haven't made it into any Judd Apatow or Adam McKay movies, but I hope we begin to see them working alongside Jonah Hill, Seth Rogan, Bill Hader, or Paul Rudd soon in big screen pictures.
I for one think David and the two Michaels are hilarious.
