After viewing Jim Ryan's earlier production Rx for Health, I was delighted to see that the warmth and honesty he offers in his first season of this series has carried over to his second. This season features a new variety of topics: arthritis, blood pressure, kidney & liver disease, lungs, pain, and vehicular injuries, all of which are discussed with impressively equal parts expert opinion and compassion.
Not only are there world-class educated health leaders weighing in on this, but the visual presentation is stunning. It truly is reminiscent of big budget major feature films. Not only similar in aesthetic and technological qualities to feature films, the plot actually mirrors Matt Damon's 2013 film The Martian. In Rx for Health 2, The complex medical issues are tackled deliberately, using science, with all perseverance; for the practical reason of survival, just as Damon's character does in the blockbuster film. When watching this, you're brought into a world where you begin to grasp the complex medical issues, expert analysis, transitions, and most importantly: hopeful perseverance that reminds us that we are not alone, and there is a better future.
As does the first season of this health docuseries, Rx for Health 2 once again provides the longed-for information on health problems that impacts millions of Americans and their families every year. Even more importantly, it offers the solution. We can hear about problems all day long, but this series is set apart because of the practical everyday solutions for improvement and health management. Whether you are well on your way to a healthy lifestyle or just beginning your journey, this series brings crucial insight in an inviting manner that will captivate all audiences.
