A journey through the hstory of Greece: beginning with photographies of the Acropolis and the Parthenon, then the Presidential Guard whose guards dress as the evzones (Greek soldiers). Later in the Pelopenese a 2.300 years old theater and Philippe tells us the legend of Prometheus.

But Greece is also an Orthodox country: near Kalabaka there were 24 monasteries on the Meteora Peaks where the Orthodox priests found peace and serenity : nowadays only 6 monasteries are inhabited. Later Philippe lives the St-Constantine and St-Helene celebration in Katerini: a great moment of devotion, men and women are singing and dancing with icons and later the barefoot firewalk (without any injuries). A journey with nice encounters: the talk with the presidential guards, with the pope in the chapel in Thessaloniki, with the train passengers about superstitions and men-women relationships in Greece, with the Orthodox nun who spoke about the contemplation of God in her monastery, with the men and women in Katerini, and of course the meeting with Dimitri and the sponge diving in Kalymnos.

I enjoyed the differents landscapes : Athens, the Meteora peaks, the railway line in the Pelopenese and the island of Kalymnos.
