Turquie

Beginning in Istanbul. Philippe takes the train to Alpullu in Western Turkey and is invited to see a feast of wresting (somethinng like Greco-Roman wrestling but with oiled bodies): a very interesting talk with a wrestler. Return to Istanbul; the Hagia Sophia , constructed in 537 which now a museum and the Blue Mosque when the imam was calling the Muslims the the pray. Then a 10 hours travel to Cappadocia: very beatiful picture of theses mountains where people have carved the houses, their churchs. Philippe is invited to visit the house of a family, very kind people who show him their garden and a chapel also carved in the mountain. At the end a delicious Turkish coffee cup. Philippe takes again the train in Mus to cross the Kurdistan til the lake of Van ; hin train he meets irani families who are going back to their country.

A lot of very interesting encounters : the barber of Istanbul, the family in Cappadocia, the wrestler, train passengers who explain him what is Turkey (a country between the West and the East), the importance of the families.

I enjoyed very much this documentary.
