The television series that began as a pilot on this show were: "Steptoe and Son (1962)," "The Walrus and the Carpenter (1965)," "Meet the Wife (1963)," "Till Death Us Do Part (1965)," "All Gas and Gaiters (1966)," "Beggar My Neighbour (1966)," "The Liver Birds (1969)," "Up Pompeii! (1969)," "Are You Being Served? (1972)," "Last of the Summer Wine (1973)," "Happy Ever After (1974)," and "Mr. Big (1974)."
Many episodes of this series no longer exist.
In a 2005 BBC Radio interview with Ray Glaton and ALan Simpson, they said Tom Sloan, the then-head of BBC Tevlsion asked them to write several cheap episodes, hoping one of the episodes would launch off to it's own show. At the time, BBC Telvsion was severely in-debt and ended a television show to get it out of it.
