The Ranger reads in the newspaper that famous marshal Dallas "Dead-Eye" Jones will be riding through the area looking for outlaw Jake Beaudry. After reading the newspaper, The Ranger tosses it away. Of course, this was the 1950s, a long time before the "Beautify America" program started in the 60s to discourage litterbugs. Jones is too old to go after two outlaws alone and will need help. But, it will have to be secret help to save his pride. Dead-Eye proves to be a crafty old fox but definitely isn't as sharp as he once was. When Beaudry and Tanner set off a powder charge in his campfire, he is left with damaged eyes. It's sure tough to help someone who doesn't want your help. There will have to be a showdown with Beaudry and Tanner, and there sure doesn't seem to be any way that the old lawman can prevail. Or can he show the whole town that he is actually still as good as he once was?
