Interpol might have discovered a gang of contract killers that operated in the USA before the second world war may have been resurrected.

The dead man is identified as Mills. His wife is in prison and he had a note with him.

Duval needs to decipher the note and hope that Murder Incorporated are snuffed out in Europe.

It seems the target for the latest killing might be crime journalist who has discovered too much.

I doubt the gang for hire would think too much of cockney rhyming slang being used.

I also doubt that the journalist was happy to talk to Duval without closing his apartment door. Anyone can walk in with a gun.
