In this episode, John Cannon tells wife Victoria that he was born in West Virginia; however, West Virginia did not become a state until it seceded from Virginia in 1863, after the start of the Civil War. John and his brother Buck both fought in the Civil War, so John had to have been born in Virginia, not West Virginia.
