The name "Tittybangbang" was thought up by Bob Mortimer, as a way of luring in men as well as women.
When Lisa Clark began her search for actresses, she made the unusual decision to hold open auditions, she says she wanted to leave no stone unturned. Debbie Chazen and Lucy Montgomery both auditioned on the same day.
The pilot episode doubled the viewing figures for BBC Three when it aired in September 2005, with figures reaching and sustaining over 475,000.
