While watching this movie, I can't tell you how many times I thought to myself 'This character completely reminds me of so-and-so' or, 'Wow, something almost exactly like that has happened to someone I know'. Now, not to say that my life is *exactly* like this movie (that would be a bit to scary), but there are many elements that I think most of us can relate to, and that is what makes this movie so intriguing and thought-provoking.
The characters were believable, and easy to identify with, which I think always makes for a good movie. The story starts out almost comedic, almost light-hearted, all things considered, but does not stay that way. The main critiques that I would have so far would be that it was sometimes difficult to keep track of the female characters (as there were a fair few of them and they used completely different actors for the flashback sequences) and that a few of the scenes were almost painfully absurd. All in all, a wonderful film which shows that there is no such thing as a perfect family, that nothing is what it seems and that life doesn't end when you die.
