Laurence Boccolini is a compère on French Television, notably in a quiz game called "Le Maillon Faible" which is known in England as "The Weakest Link". As her English counterpart her role in that series is an ungrateful one.
In the TV series "Mademoiselle Joubert" she plays the rôle of a schoolmistress in the "Ile de Ré" on France's central west Atlantic Coast. She carries the rôle to perfection and the whole affair is most enjoyable - centred around life in the school ( the kids are real fun and cute to watch ) and various problems in the pupils' personal life. Boccolini comes over as kind-hearted, strict but also tender and humorous, taking an interest in the pupils' family problems and not just limiting herself to what occurs within school walls. The decors of the Ile de Ré also help to make the whole thing more enjoyable than if it had been filmed in some ugly school in the Paris suburbs.
Other participant acting is good as well but I think it is Boccolini that steals the show - this lady indeed has hidden talents which may well reveal themselves in the years to come !
