Each time something ominous happens on screen, loud crashes of thunder appear. These were real, as the film was shot during one of the worst Florida thunder storms of 2004. The cast and crew had a hard time not breaking down laughing as the thunderbolt would appear in every single time that the characters made a horrific discovery.
