Entourage actor Kevin Connolly is denying an accusation of rape made by a costume designer on his feature directorial debut Gardener of Eden.
The Daily Beast reported today that the film’s assistant costume designer Gracie Cox alleges that Connolly raped her at the film’s wrap party in 2005. Cox told the Daily Beast that the assault occurred after Connolly led her to a deserted VIP area of Manhattan’s now-closed Butter lounge.
In a lengthy statement released by a spokesperson for the actor-director, Connolly says “the incident with Ms. Cox was consensual.”
Cox is quoted in the Daily Beast article saying that she confided the rape to the film’s costume designer Amy Westcott, and that Westcott confronted Connolly at the party. Westcott confirmed to the Daily Beast that Cox had told her of the incident and that she did confront Connolly.

Actor Kevin Connolly has denied a report in the Daily Beast that he sexually assaulted a costume designer at a wrap party in 2005.
The outlet reported Wednesday that Gracie Cox alleges that Connolly led her into a VIP area during the party for “Gardener of Eden” and sexually assaulted her.
Connolly, best known for her role on HBO’s “Entourage,” is represented by Martin Singer. In a statement, Singer’s firm said that he denies the allegation.
“Kevin strongly supports victims of sexual assault and believes their claims should always be heard,” the firm said. “As someone who has worked in this industry for four decades, he has treated people with nothing but respect and has maintained a stellar reputation. Therefore, he was completely shocked to learn of the allegations made by Gracie Cox from a wrap party in 2005. The incident with Ms. Cox was consensual, and he categorically denies...

For a project beleaguered with numerous setbacks, during which time Nick Cassavetes, Joe Johnston and Barry Levinson were all attached to helm the crime drama, it appears the long-gestating biopic Gotti has finally settled on its director in Kevin Connolly.
Deadline has the report, revealing that despite an unsteady path to development, John Travolta remains attached to star as Gotti Sr., the New York mob boss who went down in history as one of the deadliest the Big Apple has ever seen during the ’90s. From extortion to loan-sharking, racketeering to illegal gambling, Gotti was a high-profile member of the Gambini who shared many of the devil-may-care characteristics of Al Capone – he was even found guilty of tax evasion much like the infamous Chicago gangster.
For Connolly’s big-screen depiction of the devious crook, though, the story will unfold from the perspective of his son John Jr. – no word yet...

Kevin Connolly is best known for playing sidekick-turned-manager Eric Murphy (a.k.a. "E") on "Entourage," but at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival he added another job to his resume: documentary filmmaker. Connolly's "Big Shot," an Espn 30 for 30 production focusing on the scandal surrounding former New York Islanders owner John Spano, debuted in New York last week.
The documentary, which Espn will air in October, explains how the New York-born, Ohio-raised Spano agreed to purchase the storied NHL franchise in October of 1996 from then-owner John Pickett for $165 million. Eight months later, however, Spano was revealed to be a fraud; his net worth was barely more than $2 million, a mere fraction of the over $200 million that he claimed. By 1998, he was convicted of bank fraud and eventually sentenced to 71 months in prison. Yet for four months, from when the NHL approved him as owner in February until New York Newsday published a...

With his HBO series Entourage coming to an end after eight seasons, Kevin Connolly has shaken things up and signed with CAA. Connolly will be looking to build a career beyond the series that launched him, in which he plays Vincent Chase’s childhood friend-turned-manager. Connolly will do it both as an actor and a director. He’s been seen in Secretariat, He’s Just Not That Into You, The Ugly Truth and The Notebook. He directed the 2007 indie feature Gardener of Eden, and helmed the second-to-last episode of Entourage. He’ll next direct the comedy Adrenaline, scripted by Justin Ware. Connolly had been at Wme. Principato/Young continues to manage him.

Kevin Connolly is interested in producing and directing a film based on the life of mixed martial artist Kimbo Slice after he finishes starring in the last season of Entourage. Connolly revealed his plans to have slive play himself in the film during a recent interviewed with The Wrap. Here is what he had to say:
"I'm trying to get the Kimbo Slice story made. I have his life rights, we have a script that's great. It's out and about, and the powers that be are trying to put the money together."
Before becoming a fighter, Slilce worked as a bodyguard at a porn company in Miami. He then began holding backyard fights and posting them online. Connolly goes on to say:
"Kimbo Slice is known as one of the first YouTube celebrities. He was the first person I ever sat in front of a computer and typed somebody's name into YouTube.

As Entourage moves into its final season, Kevin Connolly's character Eric Murphy has evolved from a best friend to the head of his own managerial company. In real life, Connolly himself has also used the show to evolve. He went from an actor and sometimes TV director to full on feature film director with 2007's Gardener of Eden. Once Entourage finishes this summer, he's hoping to direct a feature film about Kimbo Slice. Who is Kimbo Slice? One of the first YouTube sensations (yes, even before Justin Bieber) who was videotaped fighting in backyards before becoming a household name and headlining Mixed Martial Arts shows for multiple organizations. According to Connolly, there's a screenplay dramatizing Slice's life already written and he's looking for funding. Read more after the jump. The Wrap [1] spoke with Connolly about the project: I'm trying to get the Kimbo Slice story made. I have his life rights,...

It’s Entourage‘s last season everyone. The show comes to end Sept. 11 with its series finale. But the week before is what I’m really concerned about right now. The next-to-last episode of the series will be directed by Kevin Connolly according to TV Guide. For the second time in the series, Connolly will be doubling his work load, acting as Eric ‘E’ Murphy and stepping behind the camera. The first time he did this was the Season 7 episode “Porn Scenes from an Italian Restaurant, which was also the episode before the finale.
Not only is Connolly no stranger to directing Entourage, but he’s no stranger to directing in general.
He also directed the 2007 film Gardener of Eden and six episodes of the WB sitcom Unhappily Ever After, which he co-starred on from 1995 to 1999.
I’ve mentioned before that I love it when actors direct their own shows.

Christensen, Cross journey to CBS' 'Hell'
Erika Christensen and David Cross have been tapped to co-star in CBS' comedy pilot I'm in Hell. Meanwhile, former American Idol finalist Lisa Tucker has been cast in the Fox drama pilot Born in the USA and Janina Gavankar has been added to the CW comedy pilot Dash 4 Cash.
I'm in Hell, from CBS Paramount Network TV, centers on a highflying Wall Street player (Jason Biggs) who dies in a BlackBerry-related car crash, but because hell is at full capacity, he is reassigned to Hell on Earth and must figure out a way to get by without his career and all the trappings of his former existence.
Christensen will play a nanny and love interest for Biggs' character who also is in the Hell on Earth program. Christensen, who co-stars on ABC's Six Degrees, next appears in Gardener of Eden, directed by Kevin Connolly and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, which is slated to premiere this month at the Tribeca Film Festival. She is repped by UTA and the Collective.
