This movie marks the acting debut of Jaycee Cho-Ming Chan, Jackie Chan's son.

Though the film is considered a sequel to The Twins Effect (2003), it does not continue the same story with some of the same cast members from the previous film portraying different characters.

Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan had previously starred together in 2 cavalieri a Londra (2003).

This was Jackie Chan's first attempt at helping his son break into the HK movie industry. Unfortunately his son never made it big and eventually went to jail for drugs.
