B.D. Fox eyes Berlin sales liftoff
B.D. Fox & Friends, a leading Hollywood entertainment advertising and marketing firm that is broadening its services to foreign sales, will launch its overseas operation at the Berlin Film Festival's European Film Market, said Brian Fox, the CEO and creative director of the 29-year-old agency. Indicating that the company, which recently entered the sales representation business, was in international sales for the long haul, Fox said that he and sales and acquisition head Kristina Kreska will be offering four completed films at Berlin. Films currently handled by the company are usually in the $1million-$10 million budget range, he noted. The films, to which Fox & Friends holds worldwide rights under its combined marketing-sales concept, include My Suicidal Sweetheart, a dysfunctional comedy from writer-director Michael Parness; Cold Storage, a thriller directed by Tony Elwood; Night Feeders, a sci-fi entry written and directed by Jet Eller; and Taylor, described as an unconventional love story produced, written and directed by Mark Roemmich.
