Featured review
'Hot Holidays' is Playboy's seventh entry into their 'Wet & Wild' series and a big step down from the last installment 'The Locker Room'. The production values are still good and there's many beautiful women featured here, but that last video did so much right. It's not a total loss, but quality is inconsistent where it matters the most. Many of the scenes are missing that extra something to push them over the top.
The "Intro" deserves some credit as it's a legit scene involving plane tickets, posters on fire and quick views of Playmates (Barbara Moore, Melissa Holliday, Cindy Brown) getting naked at a garage (3 mins). "Secretarial Pool" goes from an office setting to the beach where there isn't much nudity. We get a nice view of Carrie Westcott laying in the sand, but that's the sole highlight among other ladies (Shae Marks, Julie Cialini, Patricia Ford). "Exotic Encounter" features most of the previous ladies (no Shae) and the nudity goes up thankfully. It centers on a silly painting of a portrait going on (try not to laugh at it), but it's good scene where the ladies are shown off well by the camera (6 mins).
Three disappointing segments follow. "Traveling In Style" has Playmates (Shae Marks, Julie Cialini, Carrie Westcott) trying on different outfits while dancing to energetic music (3 mins). "Rainy Day Blues" has ladies (Donna Perry, Carrie Westcott, Barbara Moore) doing a rain & umbrella bit (4 mins). "Enchanted Island" is a deserted island boy/girl fantasy with Shae (6 mins). "Cool It" gets us back on track as ladies (Lisa Marie Scott, Melissa Holliday) in summer dresses don't stay on very long. Hot day, fire hydrant, water. A winning combination (3 mins).
"Liberation Day" is a WWII soldier inspired piece involving ladies (Lisa Marie Scott, Shae Marks) in the midst of swing music and dancing that doesn't work where it counts the most (8.5 mins). "Delayed Departure" has a good looking lady (Cindy Brown) waiting for a ride, but the scene is way too short (2 mins). "Tides of Passion" is a shower boy/girl and isn't bad as far as these go. Lots of closeups, but you never really see her face. I'm not sure who it is we're looking at here to be honest (3 mins).
"Unexpected Pleasure" wraps the video up and I also felt was the title's best segment. Pretty ladies (Carrie Westcott, Shae Marks, Patricia Ford, Julie Cialini) are deep in the jungle waters. Shae, Patricia have their moments but Julie seems barely there. Good shots, a little girl/girl touching and you can briefly catch Carrie breaking a grin as the male actor involved cups her nude breasts which is cute (5.5 mins).
Your mileage may differ, but that's how I saw 'Hot Holidays'. There's pleasant moments, but the energy is dragged down by numerous scenes that miss the mark. Fans of Shae Marks (pre implants), Carrie Westcott, Julie Cialini or Patricia Ford owe it to themselves to check out this title in the 'Wet & Wild' series though as those ladies are featured quite a bit. Otherwise it doesn't rate very highly all said and done.
