This late Triangle-Era Sennett one-reeler -- nominally Sennett was out of one-reeler production by this time, but still chunked them out on his lot under the Triangle brand name -- is pretty much a standard piece as a couple of young fellows fight over the hand of a young woman in a department store with a female shoplifter thrown into the mix.
It's fairly standard stuff by this time, well executed and dressed up a trifle more than usual by having the titles all in rhyming couplets. This gives the text an old-fashioned air and under the direction of Nick Cogley, the cast play it with a more melodramatic air than usual, although Harry Gribbon, who gets a rare exposure as a leading man doesn't take any of it seriously.
