After her mother lost her dog, Simone, out of protests cuts off her hair. Later when she arrives at her new school, Simone, is mistaken as a boy. Simone decides not to correct her teacher and pretend she's a boy.

Simone goes shopping to get clothes that will allow her to continue to pass as a boy.

For gym, the students have to take swimming lessons at the pool. Simone, after trying to go into the girls' locker-room is forced to use the boys' locker-room by the gym teacher.

As a prank to get at Isak, Simone decides to release ducks into the classroom.

Kattis throws a party inviting both Isak and Simone. Kattis, thinking that Simone is a boy, admits to her that she has a crush on her.

Simone and Isak attempt to swim across the lake as a challenge. They end up hiding out in an old building where Isak finds out that Simone is a girl.
