This film stars Jeanette Lin Tsui and Julie Yeh Feng, who previously were together in "Our Sister Hedy" and "Wedding Bells For Hedy". They also played sisters in those films. This film is in no way related to those films. The film is about a middle class family, making ends meet but not in any way well off. The mother, the attractive Enjia Liu, meets up with an old school friend who is well off, and that friend invites her and her family to a party to see if Tingting (Ms. Feng) can find a partner. The title of the film refers to to Tingting, as she is tall and fairly beautiful. Binbin (Ms. Lin Tsui) is more of a cute tomboy, just one who likes to dress up. The Hu's are somewhat out of their element at the party, with Tingting really wishing to be anywhere else. Guys do woo the sisters, to the consternation of the school friend, who wants these rich guys interested in her daughter, who is overweight and somewhat childish. Tingting wears glasses as a sort of defense mechanism, as if she doesn't look pretty without them, but she is just as alluring. The film is about finding true love and its a very pleasant comedy. When Tingting meets Jin, a mechanic, she likes him instantly, and I like their characters together. Binbin, playing it precocious but also being the life of the party, has a great time, so we do also. She is kind of a Hong Kong version of Audrey Hepburn, not quite as beautiful or talented, but a good actress with a great screen presence. I really liked "Our Sister Hedy" and I like this also, very much. The actors, all part of that particular studio so I've seen them in films starring Grace Chang and others, are all pros. If you like romantic comedy and don't mind subtitles, this is a good, enjoyable film. I really like the line when Jin asks Binbin who her favorite actress is and Binbin names Jeanette (in other words, herself). A pleasant film about a husband, wife and their two of age, very pretty daughters. It is worth your time.
