Cobra, Lightning, Saracen, and Wolf are the only Gladiators to appear in every single series of the show.
When the show was repeated in 1995 during the summer season on ITV, at the end of each repeat, a voice-over would say "That was a repeat from 1994, and Shadow is no longer a gladiator". Jefferson King (Shadow) was fired from the show due to drug use.
Diane Youdale (Jet) left the show after hurting her back in an unaired show, her last domestic series was series 4 in 1995. She was competing on the pyramid and fell awkwardly as she tackled a contender, trapping nerves in her neck. As the consequence of her injury, the pyramid was suspended for one series and a change in the rules was necessitated.
Former TVAM weather-girl Ulrika Johnson was with the show from the first episode and in many ways was the main anchor due to her TV background. Despite having no hosting experience, footballer John Fashnu was given the role of male host of the show.
Fiesty scouse mum, athlete and last line of the nation's defense Eunice Huthart, who went on from two "Gladiators" series wins to become a stunt actress in the movie "GoldenEye". She continues to appear in major movies, often as Angelina Jolie's stunt double.
