Selleck was presented his award in a surprise gesture from Chevy Chase on The Chevy Chase Show (1993). Upon receiving applause for the honor, Selleck requested of the audience "Rather than your applause, put your tongue between your lips and give me the raspberry." To his and Chase's delight, the audience obliged.
