The scene where Jim watches the angel (Emmanuelle Béart) take a bath in the woods, hidden behind the reeds, is very reminiscent of a similar scene in "Manon des Sources" with Ugolin (Daniel Auteuil) watches Manon (Emmanuelle Béart) taking a bath in the nature (she's a shepherdess in that movie).
