During the delivery room scene, Colleen Dewhurst's actual hands are shown several times. After the baby is born, you see a left hand touching the baby, but it clearly is not Colleen Dewhurst's left hand. The hand has short, polished fingernails, while Dewhurst's were unpolished and short, except her index fingernail, which was long. The hand is also obviously the hand of a younger woman.
