When stars Gösta Ekman and Grynet Molvig first performed their sex scene, it didn't go very well. Director Tage Danielsson asked what the problem was. They said they were uncomfortable being naked on a movie set naked. Danielsson then suggested that the whole crew should take their clothes off when they did this scene - and so they did. Except for one crew member, who had a cold.
Director Tage Danielsson made this make partially to force himself to give up his own smoking. He thought that if he had made a movie about giving up smoking, he'd be too embarrassed to pick it up again.
The premise of the film: Dante hiring the organization Little Secret Service to prevent him from smoking using various creative methods in order to gain a large sum of money is remarkably similar to the premise of the The Flintstones (1960) episode Fred Flintstone: Before and After (1961) where Fred is given the offer of 1000 dollars if he can loose a certain amount of weight and is aided by the club Food Anonymous to prevent him from eating using various creative methods.
