When we first see Bill Meceita (John Phillip Law), he is practicing his shooting. The first revolver he shoots, a six-shot Colt Peacemaker, turns out to be a 9 shooter, and the second is an 11 shooter.
After the bank robbery, Ryan is dumped by the bandits on the road the next morning to be captured. The following scene returns to the night of the robbery. The Sheriff is making his initial inquiries when Ryan is delivered to him as a prisoner.

When Bill Meceita has a shootout with one of the villains, he sticks out his hat on a stick and has the villain shoot at the hat. When he reveals himself, he says "Before you fire, remember the Meceita ranch." Then they draw their pistols and Bill kills him. However, the villain had his gun already in his hand to shoot at the hat. There is no shot showing him holstering his gun, nor would it make sense for him to do so.
