Jirí Kodet and Karel Hábl were considered for the part of Lemonade Joe, eventually played by Karel Fiala.
The first in a loose trilogy of film parodies by screenwriter Jirí Brdecka and director Oldrich Lipský, always with Milos Kopecký as the villain. The other two were Adela Has Not Had Supper Yet (1978) and The Mysterious Castle in the Carpathians (1981).
