Voted as one of the "12 Best Hungarian Films 1948-1968" by Hungarian filmmakers and critics ("Budapest 12") in 1969.
Teri Horváth was the original choice for the role of Tera. After she dropped out Irén Psota agreed to play the part, but considered herself "too urban" and insisted to do a screen test to confirm if she can play a country peasant woman.
