This particular version of "Les Miserables" was originally exhibited in two separate parts. Purportedly, these were shown on separate days - perhaps weeks or months apart. As recently as the early 1990s, the two parts were shown in a single day, with a brief intermission, at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
The first version of this Les Miserables was presented in four parts, between mid December 1925 and mid January 1926.
