After making appearances in 80 short films and serials through 1917, this film marked Ollie Kirby's first film in six years and her first feature film.
This film tried to cash in on the tango craze started by Rudolph Valentino in The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1921) a few years earlier, and George Larkin's character in the opening scenes is clearly patterned after Valentino.
George Larkin's nickname was Daredevil, and he did all his own stunts in this film, including sitting on the wing of the biplane, along with Dorris Dare, as it lands in the dessert.
