- Rudolph Bond was raised in Philadelphia. He got his start at the Neighborhood Players. After World War II, he was invited by Elia Kazan to be a student at the famed "Actors Studio" in New York, working with such future stars as Paul Newman, James Dean, and Marlon Brando. His first big break was a role in the stage production of "A Streetcar Named Desire". Rudy's career included the theater, motions pictures and television.

Composer, songwriter ("When Love Has Gone"), conductor, pianist, author and arranger, he came to the USA during World War I. He was a pianist in New York Ballrooms, then organized his own orchestra and toured the US in vaudeville. He was a pianist on radio, then a music director and arranger for radio and for television networks. He joined ASCAP in 1939, and his chief musical collaborators included W. Edward Breuder and Paul Rusincky. His other song compositions include "You're Everything That's Lovely", "In the Same Old Way", "In My Little Red Book", "The Wide Open Spaces", "Sam the Vegetable Man", "Let's Make Up a Little Party", and "If You Were Mine".- Sister to Kenneth de Burgh Codrington, renowned archaeologist and art historian, widely present in the Victoria and Albert museum. Also, Ann Codrington was survivor of the S.S.Persia torpedo sinking, while pregnant, but unfortunately lost her mother in the sinking on the 30 December 1915. In her retirement, Ann Codrington became a pioneer of breeding curly coated cats, and became quite a well known judge at cat shows.
