Murder by the Lake: Der Stumpengang (2019)
Season 1, Episode 8

I love the dynamic between the two detectives and their colleague in the joint Austrian/German police force on Lake Constance. I also enjoy the scenery but cannot figure out who the murderer was in this episode and I speak German. It felt as if a scene or two had been cut that would have supplied the missing connections. Season One had Hannah searching for her father and how that resolved was amazingly dramatic. Along the way, this aloof, quirky woman a bit like the Danish detective in The Bridge starts to thaw and even smile on occasion. By season two, she is definitely opening up. She is even moved by the appearance on her balcony of a stray cat. Wonderful human interest, puzzling mystery.
