Review of Detained

About the movie: Starts off great with an eerie suspense. But 20 mins in, you've figured out half whats going on and where all this is leading to if youve followed the movie till then. Theres nothing particularly sinister about the main antagonist who is rumored throughout and when it is ultimately revealed. They are not the master of deception and guile if one is groping for a similarity between the SAW movies. Theres no gore till the climax and when it does, it feels lacking and unbelievable. The plot is decent but lacks depth in storytelling. The entire movie is shot within the apartment where it begins except for a few minutes of flashbacks.
