8:37 Rebirth (2021)

A gem!
1 October 2022
A compelling story about how lives can change in an instant, the ripple effects of tiny decisions, and the different ways people find to go on living after tragedy. Do we obsess over how it could have been prevented? Do try to make up for our failings? Do we seek justice or revenge? Do we learn to forgive ourselves and others? Do we focus on the future?

An excellent script, great pacing and a talented cast allowed me inside the perspective of all of the characters. This film has a great look and feel and universal appeal. It deserves a wide audience. I saw it at a small festival featuring films by Atlantic Canadian artists. Looking forward to seeing more films from director Juanita Peters and her team.
