Rachna review :
I always felt Beena had a certain sex appeal which she whiled away playing mother to heroes almost her age. I stumbled upon this film called Rachna - the only one where Beena played the female lead to a young Anil Kapoor and yea, the lady had it in her. But unfortunately, Rachna was a box office disaster pulled out from theaters before completing a week.
Anil Kapoor played an aiyaash richie whose dead father wills that he settle down in matrimony pronto or lose his wealth to charity. Cunning Anil marries orphan Beena who is battling cancer and expects her to pass away shortly. That doesnt happen and then slowly Beena and Anil get to know each other.
The film is quite slow even for the 80s and the songs just dont pass muster. It is amusing to see the inexperienced Anil Kapoor in such raw and unabashed form. Beena looks damn sweet and her performance is commendable.
