This episode of Laramie has Jock Gaynor and Miriam Colon as a married and expecting couple who are seeking shelter. Gaynor accidentally kills a white bully
who was ready to shoot Colon. Later on John Smith finds Gaynor's father Frank
DeKova trying to get rid of the body and takes him in. He is adamant that he did
the shooting, but Slim Sherman has his suspicions.
In the meantime Gaynor and Colon take refuge in Sherman station in the barn. But Spring Byington seeing her condition puts them in the house and sends for doctor. Her character always had a touch of warmth and humanity in all the Laramie stories she appeared in.
The deceased had a pair of really loutish brothers in Myron Healey and DeForest Kelley. They want to keep hostilities stirring against the Arapahoes in general and DeKova in particular. Hostile attitudes serve their rather venal agenda.
This is a good episode and I was impressed with Byington's scenes with Gaynor and Colon. agenda quite well.
