First, let me say I really enjoyed this show. I have rewatched the entire series at least twice since it was originally aired.
But there are some MASSIVE plot holes.
The show had some MASSIVE plot holes, due to showrunners' lack of basic math skills.
Megan's father ostensibly shot himself 35 years prior to time show was on (making her 21-22 IRL), though the show puts her at 5 (wow!).
AND, the woman who shot her father (the black chief of police), would have been1 when Megan was 5, making it unlikely that she was a cop and the shooter of her father.
I have to assume it was Dana's vanity (or showrunners wanting a younger lead) that made her character claim to be 40ish rather than the 50ish she clearly appears to be.
