Family conflicts in the era of reform
15 December 2003
The literal translation of the title of this film is: Unimportant family matters.

This movie was made in the early era of reforms in China, which not only brought significant changes in economics, but also in the social life as well. Suddenly, the previously unimportant family matters become big deals and the older generation has difficulties adjusting. The film deserves a perfect 10 for honestly describing the situation, without the usual political propaganda.
