The celebration of Indian cinema, the International Indian Film Academy (Iifa) Awards, has unveiled the full list of Iifa 2024 nominations and the list is epic! The highly anticipated 24th edition of Iifa is poised to bring together the most brilliant stars, visionary filmmakers, and industry leaders from India and across the world to celebrate the magic of Indian cinema.

The highly anticipated Iifa 2024 nominations have been revealed, with Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ leading the pack with 11 nods. Close behind is Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, which earned 10 nominations. Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 action hits, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’, have each garnered 7 nominations in the Popular Category, while Vikrant Massey’s ‘12th Fail’ secured 5 nominations.

Baweja Studios and E7 Entertainments have unveiled the first footage for “Maharagni – Queen of Queens,” starring Kajol and Prabhu Deva.

The film, an action-thriller, marks the reunion of the two actors 27 years after Rajiv Menon’s “Minsaara Kanavu” (1997). The cast also includes Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Jisshu Sengupta and Aditya Seal.

The first schedule of the film, directed by Charan Tej Uppalapati, has been completed. The crew includes G.K. Vishnu as the director of photography, composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar, production designer Saahi Suresh and editor Navin Nooli. The screenplay is by Niranjan Iyengar and Jessica Khurana. The film is produced by Harman Baweja and Venkata Anish Dorigillu under the labels Baweja Studios and E7 Entertainments, respectively.

ReviewThe initial portions of the film are quite fun and remind you of the actor’s previous performances in films like ‘Venky', where he neither minded making self-deprecating jokes nor took himself too seriously.In Ravanasura, Ravi Teja’s character is the embodiment of the evil king Ravana. While the mythical Ravana never laid a finger on Sita despite keeping her in captivity, this Ravindra (played by Ravi Teja) proudly claims that he does not have such “ethics.” This Ravana has rape fantasies, but of course since he is the hero, filmmaker Sudheer Varma underplays this part and later makes a shoddy attempt to redeem his character with a moral justification. Telugu star Nani has released the trailer of director Pradeep Varma’s debut film, ‘Alluri’, featuring actor Sree Vishnu in the lead. The trailer begins with Tanikella Bharani’s inspirational words to a youngster.

Sree Vishnu is introduced as police officer, Alluri, who sports a unique style in tackling criminals. The trailer shows that Alluri turns violent only when there is no other option left.

Ideally, he prefers to deal with cases in a non-violent manner. He brings about a change in naxalites and criminals but he has bigger hurdles to overcome. He even sacrifices his personal life for his police job.

Alluri’s is an inspirational journey, going by the trailer. Kayadu Lohar plays Sree Vishnu’s wife in the film.
