Marty D. Scott was born in Clinton, Oklahoma. He lived in Dallas, Texas until the second grade. In 1976, his family moved to the Poetry community north of Terrell, Texas. Marty moved to Casper, Wyoming with his wife and children in January 2016.
Marty holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Baylor University, a Master's degree in Speech Communication from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Juris Doctorate from The Baylor School of Law. He has been a practicing attorney since 1996 and as of October 2017, works as an Assistant District Attorney for Natrona County, Wyoming.
Marty has appeared in more than forty plays and musicals over the years. Most of these were in community theatres, but he has acted, sung, and danced in six productions with the professional company, Garland Summer Musicals, in Garland, Texas.
