Mathias T'Syen

Mathias T'syen is a Belgian film and theater actor. He starred in the television series Disney Jonge Garde.
In the early years, T'syen mainly did commercials for Telenet and mnm, among others. Together with a co-star of Jonge Garde, he got to co-present the very first The Radio Disney Music Awards Belgium to Loic Nottet. The series has been on Disney+ across Europe since 2020.
T'syen played roles in De Zwarte Ridder (2013), JIM TV (2014), De Buurtpolitie (2015), De Ideale Wereld (2016), Hollands Hoop (2017), Vloglab (2021), Familie (2021), Lisa (2022), 3Hz (2023),...In addition, he did presentation and voice work for Disney. Furthermore, he collaborated on (short) films for the Ritcs and Luca.
In spring 2016 he was allowed to audition for a film starring Nicolas Cage, unfortunately he just missed out on the role. In the same year, he co-facilitated "Kindermenus met streken," together with TV face Dagny Ros Asmundsdottir. This was in cooperation with the municipality of Kasterlee and the province of Antwerp.
In 2017, he underwent a complete metamorphosis and lost 55 kilograms thanks to a gastric bypass. About this he testified in the NPO program VetGelukkig?! In 2020, he recounted the course of his surgery in the RTV program B+. With his story, T'syen tries to break the taboo around this operation. A book about this story was published in the spring of 2023. The book was well received and received media attention.
Since 2024 he has been the face of the Flemish version of the podcast Obesity: The Big Truth. Here he engaged in conversation with Pedro Facon, Lieven Annemans, Pascale Naessens,... among others.
