Kiara Walker is a rising star in the world of visual effects, with a multidisciplinary background in art, design, and entertainment. She began her career in entertainment in 2012, working at prominent film organizations such as Sundance, AFI, and Film Independent, as well as a prestigious boutique entertainment law firm in Beverly Hills, gaining insight into the filmmaking process from script to the film festival circuit to programming/streaming.
Her VFX career began at Method Studios in 2018, where she worked as a Production Technology Coordinator and VFX Production Coordinator. Eager to test her creative skills, she directed her first short film, "Absentminded" in 2019. She quickly advanced to Luma Pictures, contributing to many high-profile films and TV series such as Marvel's "WandaVision", "Shang-Chi: The Legend of the Ten Rings", and "I Am Groot", as well as award-winning projects like "King Richard." Kiara is also an accomplished artist, known for designing Miss Minutes for Disney's "Loki" series. In 2022, Kiara joined Lucasfilm as a Senior VFX Coordinator, working on "The Mandalorian Season 3" and "Ahsoka." She is working on a fan-favorite Netflix series.
Kiara grew up in Maryland and graduated from high school at 16. Later that year, she pursued her passion for art and design at Parsons School of Design in New York City and worked in the fashion industry for six years as a fashion designer and illustrator.
