Thomas Rowley studied Film and English in Trinity College Dublin, followed by a masters in Screenwriting from the National Film School. As a director he has worked in over 30 cities worldwide filming travel guides, and for a wide array of brands within Ireland. His short film 'There Will be Less Blood' won a Jameson Film Festival Award in 2010, and was nominated for an Empire Movie Award.
He founded and directed Storymap, a website and app which mapped Dublin through filmed stories with locals, immersing the user in the hidden stories on the streets around them. The project was widely praised across the Irish press for its innovation, authenticity and charm. It won grants and support from Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, Fáilte Ireland, and Dublin City Council.
He lives in Brooklyn New York where he is preparing a new version of Storymap centred on Manhattan, and developing a feature film 'We're Not Strangers!'
